And then to observe oneself, to recreate, to decompose and recompose in affection, in violent destruction, in the continuous metamorphosis that shapes and defines us with its own poetic gesture—under the influence of another’s hand, which perhaps is our own; because we are always performers, even unconsciously, even in spite of ourselves.
Using circus as a tool that blurs the boundaries of everyday bodily movement—together with an exploration of puppet-prostheses and masks—we delve into the deformation and disintegration of both the physical and the mental, approached with a biting, ironic performative attitude.
Acknowledging the fact of being on stage, we aim to recreate a film set where lighting and video projections define details and tear through space—a metaphor for the most hidden corners of the subconscious.
